North Myrtle is close to the worst case for headlight lenses on this coast. Salt off the ocean, sun most of the year, and housing stock where a garage is the exception rather than the rule.

Second homes make it worse in a way people don't expect. A car that sits in a driveway for four months between visits is getting continuous UV with nobody washing salt off it. Cars that get driven and rinsed regularly actually hold up better.
